NC School Health Connection was developed in 2010 by NC Prevention Partners in collaboration with NC Healthy Schools, which provided funding to launch this initiative. This site was also developed with input and partnership of fifteen North Carolina organizations working with schools on obesity prevention. We also thank GlaxoSmithKline Community Partnerships, a founding sponsor of NC School Health Connection.
Mission
The mission of the NC School Health Connection (NCSHC) is to identify and promote effective childhood obesity prevention programs in North Carolina public schools to empower key stakeholders and encourage collaboration among those seeking to improve student health and academic achievement.
